All this Arch Enemy drama has got me all upset at the music biz. Where the fuck is the camaraderie between musicians? Everyone is selling their souls for all that glitters lately, be it money, press or just plain old attention.

Here is the breakdown:

-AE singer cannot get into the states because of visa probs.

-They miss 2 shows but arrive in time for New England MetalFest.

-They pull out of a tour for unknown reason, speculations include: troat probs, relationship probs between singer and guitarist, singer pregnancy, money problems, and Machine Head fucking AE over numerous other ways.

-AE are being critized for being "unprofessional".

-Machine Head release a statement mocking AE for pulling out of the tour because of a "broke nail".

-Machine Head camp blames Angela for being a pussy because she left of a throat condition.

-36Crazyfists pull out of a few dates because of strep throat.

-AE issue an official apology, but refuse to sink down to Machine Head's level so they don't try to start a confrontation by issuing their own explanation (since it is going to be questioned and critized anyways).

-Machine Head cancel a tour date because of the singer's throat probs.

Conclusion:

-Machine Head's singer is a fucking hypocrite that should reevaluate his ego issues.

-This tour is fucked up because everyone is having probs (badddd Karma).

-It's not AE's fault

and Finally

ITS NOT A BIG FUCKING DEAL PEOPLE because AE will be back and if you bought a ticket to see them its only 20 bucks out of ur life and it will NOT kill you.

So I'm moving on with my life...

BTW. Angela is a sweetheart, to me anyways. She has always answered my emails, for example:

I went to 2(!!) CoB shows. The Friday one was the best because I went with Aileen we always have a kickass time.

I went with Krista (who got her ear pierced by a sexy drugged out person at St Marks)

We arrived at 8 during the beginning of CoB show.

The show rocked, but the venue sucked (BB Kings).

-Small stage=bands almost fingering each other with their instruments.

-Shitty security=less fun (for fucks sake they treat you like a second grader)

-shitty area=theater district=no parking

Krista left at about 10:30.

I left at 11:30, I got lost, I found garage, I came home and I studied for Chem (I got a 86 :D).

Friday April 30, 2004.

Venue: The Troc in Philly

I went with Aileen .

We arrived at 7:00.

We went into the Hilton to do go .

Evergrey was good, nice crowd.

CoB was AMAZING, crazy crowd (I wasn't standing on my feet half the time)

Iced Earth... ummm I dont know we spend most of the time talking to each other and looking at pierced nipples (yummy).

Left at 11:30, Aileen crashed in my car and fell asleep.

Band people met :

Janne Warman, Keyboardist from CoB (drunk and horny)

Jonas Ekdahl, Drummer from Evergrey (cool and a really nice guy)

I did have a lot of fun at both shows doing promo for Century Media:

-talked to cool people

-promoted cool bands"

I finally got all my thoughts together to write about my 24-hour visit to Brown.

Tuesday:

Met some great peeps at the train station, including one that just started chain smoking on our way to Brown, interesting and passive kid I must say. The train ride was NUTS. haha By the end I was soo tired of compunication to white kids (missed my asain possy). We got into Brown way too late (5:30ish even though it was supposed to be 4!) grr. Registration was another pain in the arse and my dorm for the night happened to be Perkins which is the "isolated dorm" as in all the way on the inhabitable part of campus. I was sooo relieved to just put my bags down and not have to carry them around anymore (phew... im soo weak need to work on muscles!!!:)) My host was super duper nice. Her name was Julie and her roommate was Julia. We got to check out the Ivy room, a buncha Frat parties and walk around the campus a bit. Brown is big on talent; their talent show I heard was amazing, too bad I missed it :(.

Wednesday:

I don't remember when exactly I crashed asleep. I woke up, got changed and went to breakfast at a crepery (my first time eva!..twas good). Went to my first class "Modern Architecture" it was a lot of fun, even though I HATE modern architecture...so ugly, seriously...wtf is the world coming to. I parted ways with the other pre-frosh after the class cuz hanging out with her friends was way too boring for me. The best part was meeting all the CS /Math professors and students... they are soo nice and so down to earth. I can't wait to be a part of THAT community. One kid is actually going to work for Pixar... HOLY SHIT THAT IS what I want to do. :D

Well anyways the moral of this story is that I'm going to BROWN!!!!!

Fun Things About Brown:

Rooming: they put Miss Stoner in room 420. Put Julie and Julia together. Two guys with the last names of past presidents together.

I just saw a show on MTV that actually hit close to home. In the beginning it talked about how Asian girls tape their eyes to make them appear bigger. They felt that way they could fit in. I think I understand it a bit. The host talked about how looking more American and European makes Asians believe they will be more successful and excepted. There was a girl in the show that underwent plastic surgery to get an extra crease in her eyes. I never quite realized how important something like that was to Asian girls.

The taping of the eyes especially drew me back 2 or 3 years ago when my friend tried it. Well I just want her to know that I think her eyes are beautiful, mysterious and incredibly hot, SO DON'T YOU EVERRRR, ever, ever, ever, ever change who you are or how you look like. Chinky eyes ruleeeeeeeee. m/

Now I'm just waiting to see where Aileen gets in ::crosses fingers::. Oi this is exhausting between the applications, waiting, more waiting, uncertainty, rejection, and confusion a person is bound to crack and do something completely insane like try to get a PhD.

Seriously college admissions is a serious health risk. Suicide? college admissions. Murder? college admissions. Mental breakdowns? college admissions. Fraud? def college admissions. Drug abuse? prolly college admissions as well. Pomiscuous sex? hell lets blame college admissions for that too. :D haha K now it's Saturday and I'm going to enjoy fucking life.

Yesterday was one of the mosting amazing days this year. Me and Aileen went volunteering, which was a lot more enjoyable than the previous times. Then, we saw "So Close", that movie... ohh my... its incredibly good. The chicks are hot as hell, the action rivals the matrix on so many level, and the story was amazing. Seriously, I think I'm going to switch to Asian flicks cuz Hollywood cinema is becoming more and more disappointing as the years roll by.

Me and Aileen had a blast, that was the perrrrfect movie for us to watch together. Seriously, that made my week worth living. Too bad we couldn't watch 2 movies, damn parental units .

Today I have an itineray that spans across 2 sheets (kill me), but the essense of yesterday should keep me going.
