Hey everyone...as u know i had a dear friend very close to me a while ago.Her name was Kaleigh and we did everything together ^_^ I had been to her house many times times and we shared our personal thoughts and stories together. Then on the dark night of Sept 22 2002 i had just finished planning the sleepover i was going to have at my house with her. Then my parents walk in and say....She cant make it to ur sleep over this weekend. So i say why..did i do something bad? so they say...no...we may not be able 2 tell u its rlly bad news.I simply say please tell meeh i can handle it^_^So they sit meeh down on the couch and say in a sad gloomy voice...''Tonight after kaleight got home from the dance class u and her had together..her parents sent her 2 get the mail across the street.*sighs*On her way back....an intoxicated man was not paying attention around him and hit her.So i start 2 ask if shes ok but then they say stop asking then say...due to critical injuries..she didnt make it to the hospital on time...that is whys she cant sleep over this weekend..she is up where she can watch over us t_t i was torn....i started saying things like NO!! or THAT DRUNK SHOULD DIE or MOM DAD PLZ tell mEEH ur joking but they were not.....I had lost my dearest and closest friend because of a drunk.

HERE she is..at age 8 a month before she was killed.
LEFT—Approximately 110 colorful balloons were released by 3rd grade students at Cuba Elementary School on Nov. 8th. Students wrote notes to Kaleigh Wilday and sent them to heaven in celebration of her birthday. Wilday was struck and killed by an alleged drunk driver near her home on South Shore Rd. on September 25th. Her parents, Skip and Greta Wilday, brought chocolate chip cookies for the 3rd grade classes. Skip Wilday says it was one of the last things his daughter talked about doing before her untimely death. “Please don’t be sad,” he told students. A scholarship foundation will be established in Kaleigh Wilday’s memory.
I WISH I COULD HAVE GONE!
