Cuba is the best place. It's a communist country and it works there as the temperature is av. 25C all year round, even though it was about 30-40 where I was. The people there are amazing. The country is very poor, but they are so friendly and just don't really care. Hmm. I can't explain it very well, but the atmosphere there is so different than over here. It's so much more relaxed over there. Havana ("La Habana") is really interesting - it is as though time stopped and they are still in the 50s or 60s; nothing seems to have changed. The nearest town of Morón (NOT moron!) was an eye-opener - we saw how many Cubans really lived. We went into one of the houses of this random guy called Carlos who decided to show my family and I around. He was 16, the same age as me, but he had left school because he 'wanted to' and seemed to have taken up a career in pestering tourists. Not all Cubans are like him though. We met and talked to so many people there and most were very happy. Only one guy wanted to leave the country, but he explained that to many people, it's just the 'thing to do'. Everyone seemed to love Che Guevara and Fidel Castro (despite Che being worm meat and Fidel being 70 something) and there is a strong sense of pride at their country's triumph of the Revolution. Anyway, enough of Cuban sociology... the beach was FANTASTIC and the sea is so warm, and clearer than a swimming pool. We went snorkelling which was amazing! I fed the fish with some bread until they got too enthusiastic and shredded my finger!   We also got to hold baby crocodiles, which were just like holding little handbags according to my mum. We also went speed-boating which was really good, although I didn't get to drive but we were going full speed for about 10 miles!   There were some cabaret show sort of thing at night. The dancers were all well fit!!!   I couln't fit any into my suitcase though.   Anyway... enough rambling... Cuba was a really good place to go, and now I'm really sad coz it's so cold and grey in England.

Going on holiday tomorrow... it's weird. I'm going to the Caribbean, when for sixteen years we (my family and I) have been going to bloody Cornwall, nice as it is. It'll be the first time on a plane for me and my sister, but I'm not that nervous for some reason. It's just kinda odd to think that in 24 hours we'll be on some beach on some island. Pretty good to me.

Ah crap, I'm such a loser!! In trying to add people to my 'Friends' list I've only gone and added myself.  D'oh!

Anyway... the GCSEs are finally over so now I can relaaaax...  

You know what, it's funny about cats... when male cats get 'cut', other male cats think it's a girl cat... hmm, well I thought that was quite funny!

It's weird. There's so many people I'm never gonna see again, after seeing them every day for about five years, or even more.

It's annoying, as soon as school is over the sun disappears.   Oh well. I'm going on holiday next week in the Caribbean (Cuba) so I don't care what sort of shitty weather is over here in England!

Ho hum... I want to make this a longer blog but I can't think of anything decent to write. It's stupid when that happens. Some days I can think of loads of stuff to write but then I'm not on the computer, and when I am I write a load of crap!

Hmm I guess I'd better leave it here... unless I can think of anything more to write later.

Yay, well there's only three more exams left now (science, history and maths) and not long to go now before I go on holiday too!!   It's all very exciting and I know that looks weird but I don't care.

The new Harry Potter film came out some time ago now, and doesn't Tom Felton look fit as Draco Malfoy!! The film is very good, much better than the last two. I just hope that JK Rowling finishes her books before the stars get too old to play their characters!

Hmm... I really should be revising now seeing as the science tests are tomorrow. My last blogs have all been a bit short, but as soon as the exam/holiday season is over I hope to add a better blog.

Well, I tried to adjust the colours and everything of my blog but I don't think it's worked. Neh... who cares.

Anyway... I am feeling so run down today. I feel tired and achy and all sniffy coz I have some sort of stupid cold thing. It is seriously annoying. Just as summer begins (sort of) and there is no more school for the next 3 months or so, i get a goddamn cold. Oh well... I guess it could be worse...

Okay... as I am ill I feel like having a rant about the weather. Bloody British weather. It is blazing hot and sunny one minute, then the next a stupid cloud comes over and all of a sudden the whole place is cold and windy. It's lile the set of some horror film, you know whenever the murderer comes in or something bad is about to happen, the weather goes all dark and cold and... British.

I don't actually know what to write about today, but I just felt like putting something in I guess.

The prom was okay. Better than I expected in fact. But... I can't be arsed to write about it. Sorry! Umm... I got seriously pissed though. It was very funny in my eyes/head, but I am still a bit hungover from it. My head felt like this:

Well, I am finally leaving compulsory education tomorrow! (Thurs 13th May 04) It is obviously really good in one sense, no more lessons you detest, no more uniform, no more crappy getting up so damn early...   ...and of course no more pointless PE!! I don't mind PE, in fact i enjoy basketball, badminton etc. but it's just soo pointless in my opinion.

The sad thing about leaving school is all the friends and good times which will now be left behind as little more than memories until the reunion.

I can't wait until a reunion... seeing everyone I've known at school 30 years later is bound to be a freaky experience! It makes you wonder where everyone will end up and where they'll all be... some people you know will not end up anywhere (not to be too rude there!) but it makes you wonder... will there be a famous singer/sports star in your year? Will someone become an award winning actor or prehaps a film director? Will someone be the next prime-minister of England??

Without trying to be too pesimistic, I doubt it. I live in an area of Egland where learning or showing any form of academic success is very uncool at the best of times. But thankfully most of those sorts of people do not stay on at college, and you'll probably never see them again.

Anyway, that's all for today. I'm tired and the Prom/May Ball/whatever is tomorrow.

I'm leaving school soon, so right now that's the only good thing about going! I can't wait until college; after over ten years I think school has become increasingly monotonous.

My favourite subjects were art, textiles, french, history and especially english.
