This weekend has been interesting. A tennis match everyday this week and a tournament on friday. I'm really procrastinating instead of doing my work. So lazy...

Endless Road

Here's an update not that anyone reads this blog but eh.

Endless Road

Written By: Kevin Wu

August 31, 2004

This child who became a man,
Grown from such an early age.
Raised to succeed, born to rule.
Always watching the stars,
Listening to wonders of the lands.

Through his life, he's planned it all.
To the top he wants to go,
A leader in this hectic world.
Constant dreams with visions of hope.
He's on his way, nothing holding him back.

Stepping out of fantasy,
Into reality he goes.
The path becomes twisted,
An endless stretch of work.
Day by day it comes, unrelenting in force.

He stood so proud, stood so tall.
Piece by piece it falls upon his shoulders.
As time goes on, it becomes a struggle.
Holding on by a thread,
Falling to his knees.

The tide of life has come,
Sweeping through his mind.
Taking its toll as he stumbles.
As the water rises, he loses his strength.
Falling from his knees, crawling to the end.

Surrounded by failure,
He's losing all hope.
Standing alone once again,
Fighting the current.
Sitting alone he thinks of goals undone.

Letting it go, screaming to the people.
"Cruel world, give me moment's peace."
Resting in the pouring rain,
Hoping for a sign as he loses himself.
Walking away when friends arrive.

Stopping his stride as his name is shouted.
Turning around, he sees nothing but contempt.
Running from that place to a secret world.
Arriving at the ocean cliff,
Observing the crashing waves.

Thinking once more as the stars come out.
Looking to the sky,
Desiring an answer to his life.
A passing wind whispers the words.
"Dying dreams give birth to new lives."

Mirrors of a Dreamer

Fallen angels hear no cries, leaving us with nothing but memories.
Grasp onto the memories and thou will receive the keys to eternity.
An eternity of what is is the question which lays before us,
Will it be the key to paradise or the deepest shrouds of darkness?
I've spent my days looking for the key to my paradise.

As I search, I journey through the pits of memories.
Days gone by of romping through the leaves,
Endless hours spent with those who were nothing but a dream.
Learning the lessons of this world,
Preparing for that obstacle which has yet to come.

It's all coming back, every little thing.
The journeys of youth, the innocence of a child.
Everything that's gone from me, goodbye.
I'll say it's the last time I'll be here.
The last remnant of the child I was.

Another face in the crowd,
Go to school and make something of myself.
Wear a suit and accomplish the impossible,
Don the mask and fool the world.
Lost the dream, settling for the last.

Shouting it out again by this ocean's cliff.
"Paradise come to me, take this away
and show me the door to another world."
Stars shine no more, imagination gone to ashes.
Let it rain an eternity, wash away the dreams.

It's all coming back, every little thing.
The journeys of youth, the innocence of a child.
Everything that's gone from me, goodbye.
I'll say it's the last time I'll be here.
The night has darkened, I see no more.

A small case of boredom mixed with the desire to stay a kid.

Eh, nothing to write so here's a poem.

Crossroads Again

It’s been another day in our lives.
Drifting from one to the next,
Empty vessels floating in a stream.
Always never knowing the answers,
Asking for another’s help to get us by.

Met each other through a string of fate.
How far we’ve come, how much we know.
The pains of life we’ve shared,
Showing us how to endure these days.
As time goes on, we drift from one another.

Living in different worlds, so far away.
In an instant our worlds are connected.
This feeling of uneasiness, why is it here?
Feelings of confusion wash over me.
Where to go from here do I ask myself.

As I ponder what to do,
Questions come upon me.
“Is this right, should I be doing this?
Can I trust another whom I’ve never seen?
Trust my heart or trust my mind?”

She waits by in another land,
I’m hesitating to bridge our worlds.
Indecision clouds my mind,
Trust flows through my heart.
Something so easy seems so impossible.

Taking another walk, I think about what to do.
Another thought of uncertainty,
Another feeling of faith.
Coming to one more crossroad,
Ignoring the options, creating my own path.

Cycles Unbroken

To death we go, heaven seems so far away.
Burning in hell, we regret sorrows of the past.
A distant light looming ever closer,
Only to find out it was burning contempt.
How the lost children have suffered without a reason.

They wander the world searching for something,
Each looking for a place to rest, a place called home.
Where it lies, not one of us knows.
Our hearts have been tainted with lies and deceit,
How this world has corrupted our souls.

Once so pure and full of life,
We've fallen from grace, with broken wings we fade.
One has been beaten, another has been stabbed.
We each hold a secret of pain,
How deep the scar runs, no one will know.

You see us on the streets looking so happy.
What you may never know is the truth,
Of what lies beneath the surface of this empty shell.
A void of darkness is all you will see,
Everything we once were has been shattered.

When we die, we are reborn such as a phoenix.
To ashes we go and from ashes we rise.
This is our destiny, to remain in such a cycle.
From birth we are cursed to walk in hardship.
Day upon day we wish for sweet release.

As days go by, we become weary.
Our strength once strong runs from us.
We walk without understanding, live in solitude.
Given the pain of remembrance by our parents.
We are the lost children, this is our life.

Eh, nothing to say so just slapped a poem I wrote on here, enjoy.

Today is the Day.

Well, it's the day that I've been looking forward to for a while. I'm finally taking that trip to France. Well, first we're going to londen for two days then crossing the English Channel. Then we're in France for eight days. I leave in about two hours to go to the airport, a little bit nervous right now. I haven't flown on a plane in a while but hopefully everything goes fine. So much to see and so much to do, guess this is it. Well, I'll write some more when I get back. I'll probably post up some pictures too.

Lonely Hearts

He takes a walk in the night thinking about her.

How she walks, the way she speaks.

The life in her eyes, the beauty in her soul.

He tries to forget but the memories linger.

Feeling so young, adrift in the flow of passion.

He tries to push the thoughts way.

Tired of dreaming of what he cant have.

Thoughts of her still linger, her voice so captivating.

She holds his heart yet she doesnt know.

A lifetime living in the future, away from the present.

Locking his emotions away, wanting to forget.

Shell never look his way; hes just another kid.

He walks away, hoping to live again in another time.

Days of heartache, cant remember how to be whole.

Another girl in his dreams never thinking of him.

Another thought resonating in his mind.

Questioning what love is, wishing to fill the void.

He stares once again at the stars longing for her.

Watching it all drift by, never taking the chance.

He strolls through life never looking back.

Hoping to forget what he cant have.
