A Magnificent Discovery

Alltud Novel Post as History Professor Olga Aleksandrovna:

I had always loved history, ever since I was a child, but now it's a growing obsession. A part of me wishes to be among the history I study, but the other part knows that it's not possible, at least it isn't known. I have many artifacts, presents from colleges, but this Celtic cross is different from the rest of them, as if it has its own power. A power that I have dreamed of for centuries, years I mean.

I shook myself out of my thoughts at the word 'centuries', where did I get that? I must be out of it for sure. I started laughing, but a creepy chill was gnawing at my mentally. Could I have owned this necklace centuries ago? It's just not possible; I'm only 35 years old! But then again, when I had opened the chest (trunk), I had a feeling of finding something that I had lost or that similar to it. I decided to see if I had that feeling still' so I dropped what I was doing and went to the attic.

I don't remember how I got to the attic, but all I do know was that I was there. I unlocked the trunk and noticed something else that I didn't notice before, the trunk was decorated in ancient symbols, similar to the ones on the cross. I ran my fingers over the symbols, feeling their warmth feeding my body. Slowly and regretfully I pulled my fingers away and went through the contents. I kept on going through it until I had reached the bottom to find that there was a fake bottom!

I stared wide eyed and shocked as my hands removed the fake bottom to find a huge book. Oh, such beauty and detail went into this book. It was of black leather material, inlaid with jewels and symbols. In the middle the symbol was Triquetra, a Celtic symbol for three, which was a favorite of mine. I opened the grand book to the first page to find a way to identify what the book was about or who had written it, but part of me knew some, that it had belonged to the women in my family and our magic.

Discovering the Lost

I had just gone through my school trunk and had found a book about Native American magic, from my grandmother, which I had forgotten that it was in my trunk.  In fact, I don't know why I had brought it to school, maybe I did it subconsciously, but then there's a reason for it as well.  I pealed the book open and found myself looking at a page that had a Native American spells and poems that I hadn't seen before, very mysterious because I had read this book at least a hundred times before!  I let my voice ring out as I chanted the ancient words.

"I call upon my ancestors,

To beseech their knowledge.

I seek the unknown to be freed,

To let the truth be known."

Update

I'm finally back.  I haven't used this blog or my LPC journal for a really long time!  But somehow tonight I found the time to update both, plus my site as well!  I've been really busy with school and homework, and when it isn't that, I work on posts for Pan Historia.  That's it for now...

A Pan Historia Post

Defending Marie Antoinette

"I, well we, were just talking about our Dauphiness," the Duc de Chartres replied, breaking the silence that had encased us.

But the way he has said 'our Dauphiness' was in a crude way, the way his lip sneered as he caught glimpses of Marie Antoinette. It made a deep feeling surround me, as if I was drowning in water. It was pity that Marie Antoinette had to deal with such people that made snide remarks about her behind her back.

"Well, how clever of you to say such things, for indeed she is the future queen of France," I finally said, bringing myself to say such a thing in a sarcastic voice.

Once again everyone stares at me, but this time out of shock. If you knew me, such as the people in this clique, than you'd know that I'm usually not so...witty. But this time I just couldn't help myself.

Madame Adelaide came to my rescue,
"Some stand quiet,
While others gossip.
Then some sit down,
With the tea they sip.

Marie-Therese made witty remarks,
Now we stand utterly shocked.
Provence and Artois smile and grin,
While Duc de Chartres feels mocked."

Posts for Pan Historia

In my last entry I had my first post as the Countess of Artois for panhistoria.com, well I have written my 2nd post for Pan Historia.  Lately my posts as Adelaide of France and the Countess of Artois have been short, my older posts were longer.  I've written lots of posts as Olga Aleksandrovna too, for the Romanovs novel and the Beauxbatons Academy novel.  Right now I don't want to go into how many posts I have, so I'll do that later.  I have also been doing work on the background as well here on this blog, if you noticed.

A birthday and a post

Yesterday was my birthday, now I am 15 years old. The worst part about yesterday was that I got sick on my own birthday, today I didn't go to school because I got worse. The best part about yesterday was that I got 2 cakes and ice cream. By then I had already opened my presents, I had a birthday party the week before my birthday so I got presents then.  Here is a post I did as my new character on panhistoria.com, the "Countess of Artois" for the Marie Antoinette novel.  My two other characters on panhistoria.com are "Adelaide of France" and "Olga Aleksandrovna".

The arrival of the Countess of Artois

I had finally made my entry at the Paris grand ball. My husband, Charles, the Dauphin’s brother, had already made his appearance earlier, but now it’s my time. I was dressed beautifully in a satin dress of light pink with a touch of blue, I wore pearls of white. My golden hair in little ringlets dangled from the top of my head, with the weight of pearls.

“Good day to you, Countess d’Artois,” a courtier greeted me as I scooped out the room.

“Good day to you, too,” I replied, just then I spotted my husband, “Excuse me.”

My husband was with a clique that included the Count of Provence, my brother-in-law, Madame Adelaide, King Louis XV’s daughter, the Duc de Chartres, and a few other people. I then decided to see what they were up to.

I came upon them just when Madame Adelaide was speaking to the Duc de Chartres, “Now now, Louis Philippe, why would you say such things about such a charming AUSTRIAN girl?”

“Why, yes I would love to know, too,” I added in, while Madame Adelaide awaited the Duke’s reply.

Everyone turned to stare at me as I slipped next to my dear Aunt Adelaide.
